Hey there! It’s nice to meet you. I’m Jessica Dede Bedele. I appreciate you taking the time to read a little about me. Here are 31 facts about me that will hopefully provide snapshots of who I am.

1. I love me some Jesus.

2. I was born in the beautiful, amazing country, of Ghana and came to the United States at about 10 years old.

3. I am 25 years old.

4. I am the oldest of three.

5. I am currently in medical school.

6. I love to dance. I have been teaching and learning dance for as long as I can remember.

7. I am not perfect.

8. My favorite color is yellow. Always has been, always will be.

9. I actually don’t like writing or sharing about myself so this whole website is quiet a challenge for me. But I’m still doing it.

10. Some of my nicknames include D, D.D, Jess, J, Jesse, Jessicose, Nugget, Nug Wug

11. Other than Ghana and the United States, I have traveled to 3 other countries (Guatemala, Jamaica and Canada). I pray I visit more.

12. I have traveled to 13 states in the United States. (Excluding layover states).

13. I love traveling.

14. I am 5 feet flat but I like to think that I’m 5′ 10” so I’m 5′ 10”.

15. My smile is my favorite feature.

16. I like to thrift shop. I get nice clothes for cheap so it’s a win.

17. I am spending conscious. If it is not necessary, then I am most likely not wasting money on it.

18. I love heels. If I could wear heels all the time, I would.

19. I won Ms. Africa when I was at Rutgers.

20. I listen to all genres of Gospel music 95% of the time. The other 5% is afrobeats, old love songs and others.

21. I am a Gates Millennium Scholar which means Uncle Bill and Aunt Melinda Gates paid for my college education.

22. I attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

23. I graduated cum laude with a degree in Biological Sciences.

24. I don’t like watching movies or shows more than once. If I already know what is going to happen, I personally do not want to watch it again.

25. I played on a tennis team for 3 years in high school.

26. My dream car used to be a yellow Hummer… but they don’t make Hummers anymore so now, it’s a yellow Jeep Wrangler.

27. I kinda sorta play the piano. I’m not the best but I can do a little something something.

28. I speak English, Twi, Krobo, Ga and some French.

29. I have had some of the coolest jobs in the past. Worked at Tiffany&Co. (the jewelry company), served as an agent to students all around the United States (Student Success Agency) and taught medicine to high schools students from all over the world at UC Berkeley (Envision program).

30. I used to have 3 dogs. (Scooby, Bullé and Sugar)

31. I love African Fashion. My aunt custom makes my outfits in Ghana.
